After earning a B.F.A. in Animation/Illustration from Montclair State, E.L. Candrilli was hired at NBC Universal where her duties were split between producing high volumes of lower-third graphics for multiple networks, training new hires on the basics of After Effects, and ensuring all on-air content met each network’s and the company’s technical/standards and practice guidelines within consistently tight deadlines.

While working a nine-to-five, she still pursued Continuing Education at the School of Visual Arts in New York, taking “Comics Project” and “Building Fictional Worlds” with Carl Potts, and “Storyboarding” with Frank Gresham. During that time, she also did freelance work rendering several editorial illustrations, a two-page comic, and internal pitch deck illustrations for tech company Lotic.Ai, completed and published her comic “No Good Deed” to Webtoon, then was hired as Illustration Support for Marvel redrawing, cutting up, and isolating elements of comic panels to be animated for Youtube trailers (several of which are below!) Her most recent projects were illustrating the book “Voices in History: Biography Series - Jackie Robinson” for the Core Knowledge Foundation, and doing background artwork for the yet-to-be-released visual novel, “A Hidden Tale” by Bernard Zigler and Ilana Weiss.

In her free time, she likes listening to D&D shows and art technique videos while she draws character tokens and maps for the games she leads. If she's not making something for someone else, then she's writing and crafting little comics for herself.
